A lot of Asian stuff...

Whenever I don't know what to take to work, I like stir-frying all Asian-flavour compatible veggies in my fridge and wrap them up in rice paper. My favourite dipping sauce is a bought one called "Sweet-sour sauce for chicken"... but it's great with anything!

Another thing I have wanted to try for ages is General Tao's Tofu of vegweb. I used arrowroot powder instead of cornstarch to thicken the soup, and though I was very critical towards it because I've grown up with authentic Asian food, I liked it very much for its comfort food Asian take-away flavour. Plus, I never managed to get tofu this crips before.

Those are my favourite spring rolls! I buy them here from a local Vietnamese Vegetarian Restaurant. They fill them with vermicilli, lettuce and tofu and serve them with a peanut dipping sauce. Are they hard to make? I should give them a go sometime.

Your spring rolls look great and you make them sound so easy to put together...I'll have to look for rice paper in the store the next time I go shopping. (-:

I adore summer rolls...so refreshing and easy to make, even though the rice paper can seem intimidating at first.
