Self-depricating vegans...

...like I have been this week need their comfort food.

On Tuesday, I had dinner at a co-workers place because I helped her with some computer stuff (because I'm a super computer geek apparently ?_? it's mostly an aura thing I must have caught from all my IT friends).
She's omni but very open to trying vegan things... so we kept thinking about what we could cook and decided we didn't feel like it.
So we had ALDI soy schnitzel (which taste exactly like the chicken nuggets my grandma always stocked for my when I was little!), chips and salad. Yep, we're classy like that.

When I pulled the camera out to get a picture, Anne stopped me because she had to put sesame seeds on the salads- to make it look fancy, hehe!

Oh it does look fancy - it looks gorgeous in fact!
I'm gonna have to take a trip to Aldi on Monday - if they have Soy Schnitzel I will do a dance all the way to the check-out. Are they frozen?

I'd like to know that, as well... but ALDI has a totally different range of products in each country as far as I know. there are differences even within Germany!

they are in the refridgerated shelf usually- here we've got schnitzel, soy nuggets and tofu (vegan), burgers and wieners (vegetarian).

I went to ALDI to buy soy schnitzel! and it's so real that it's almost creepy, hehe. But no, it's actually quite good and cheap. Thanks for the good tip!
