A couple of days ago, I saw someone blogging about this project at flickr.com where people post what they can get for 10 € or the equivalent in their currency.
As I'm a social studies geek, I was hooked by it.
Unfortunately, I'm unable to find the blog and flickr search didn't yield any proper results (help, anybody?).
Anyhow, today I was reminded of the project when I payed exactly 10.22 € for this:
- 1kg carrots
- loose peppermint tea
- 4 chillis
- 4 apples
- mixed sprouts
- a bag of vegetable broth
- 250g dates
- plain soy yoghurt (2x200ml)
(everything organic)
What can you buy for your 10 €/$ 15/ £ 7.50/whatever other currency (yes, very rough conversion made by me)? Not only groceries are allowed!

nice haul! and I like this idea, that's pretty much exactly what I spend per week on produce. I'll definitely post my next shopping run!
Is it this group?

Anyway, that's such a cool idea. I like your groceries!
1 euro = 2,89608738 reais (brazil money)
so, just for coincidence, I went to the supermarket yesterday and bought lots of food:
kale -1,58
1kg apples -2,48
3 zimtpretzels - 2,09
margarine - 2,10
leisambröt - 4,56
sojamilch -2,89
1 onion - 0,10
orange juice - 2,78
3 carrots (for my bunny)- 0,90
2 tomatoes - 0,45
1 avocado - 1,95
1 brocolli -2,50
200g mushrooms - 4,00
= 28,48
so..10 euros is a ot of money for me! that's food dor 5, 6 days!
